Virtual Education: Joint Commission Survey Tips and Updates for Hospitals

TSHE Meeting and Webinar, May 14th, 2021 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Join us as we focus on survey tips for hospitals to assist you in preparing for your upcoming survey. This will also give you strategies to utilize during the time of survey to help you be more efficient and minimize findings.

We will cover the areas of facility prep, Clinical and Non-clinical staff preparation, and how to establish rapport with your surveyor. Additional information includes most common findings and how to mitigate some of those issues. 

Topics include:

  2. Survey Preparedness and Mitigation of Common Issues 
  3. Survey Strategies to help prepared for your next survey 
  4. Future trends and Current Updates with regulations. 

This event is free to TSHE members, $75 for healthcare facility non-members, and $125 for supplier non-members. These are the same prices as our annual membership, so we encourage you to join first so you can get all of the great TSHE benefits.

Our Speaker: Lance Woolf – Director of Life Safety Compliance, Soleran Inc. 

Lance Woolf currently is the Director of Compliance for Soleran Inc. located in Overland Park, Kansas. In his current position, he assists hospitals by providing mock survey services to help them prepare for their upcoming accrediting surveys and operates as a subject matter expert for Soleran and their clients. Prior to his current position, Lance was a Life Safety Compliance Surveyor for Joint Commission for 2 years. 

Prior to joining the Joint Commission, Mr. Woolf worked for healthcare organizations located in California and Nevada for 17 yeras as a Director or Sr. Director of Facilities, Bio-Med, Security, and Safety.  

Lance is an active member of California Society of Healthcare Engineers (CSHE,) and a member of ASHE. 

Lance enjoys being able to work collaboratively with organizations with the focus of increasing patient safety and general safety within organizations.
